Why The First Supper Club Exists?
I guess I could just say The First Supper Club came to me in a dream one night and leave it at that. Only it wasn’t just that. It was a series of events that lead to this decision to start and lead a Bible study. Sure I’ve been a manager in jobs before but this? Leading a group of people in their walk with God? Are you sure? I think it’s important to note here God doesn’t call the equipped, he equips the called. You’re never going to FEEL ready for anything, but He honors the bold act to step out in faith.
Imagine this. It’s late Summer and here I am sitting on my balcony in Amsterdam covered in blankets (yes, it’s Amsterdam). My view is filled with people in their own apartments, windows wide open, laughter, dim light, cooking dinner at 9pm, and here I am, notebook in hand, pausing, admiring the families, friends, men & women all living their lives completely separate from one another, but also in such unison without even realizing who is above them or next to them. Even though its 10 degrees (50 Fahrenheit) in the middle of Summer, it is peaceful. I can hear a guitar strumming beneath me, friends laughing in the distance and dishes clanking under the water across from me. There is something magical about Amsterdam, it may not be my place, but for now God has lead me here and there is a lesson here waiting for me. For now I will call this place my home.
That’s when it clicked. Our forever homes are in heaven (fix your eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen - 2 Corinthians 4:18) but how can we reflect that as best we can on this earth? COMMUNITY. It was the one thing I was missing in Amsterdam. Sure I had friends, but a community of people who encourage you to live by faith and hold onto God’s promises, that is what this life is all about.
God opened up many blessings for me which lead me to be living in Nashville, TN, but the longing & desire for community was burning in my heart & through prayer, dreams, and community, The First Supper Club came to life. Just like those people in their apartments in Amsterdam we all may be living separate lives, but really at the core, our hearts remain the same.
I know it’s not our forever home, but I hope First Supper Club can be that for you while on this earth.
‘Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce… seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf.’ Jeremiah 29:5-7

The Mission
-
The First Supper Club exists as a space where people can experience Jesus personally through Scripture, conversation, and community.
“When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him...” Luke 24:30-32
-
Jesus used His last meal with His disciples to teach, serve, and prepare them for what was to come. The First Supper Club follows this model, gathering not just to eat, but to learn, reflect, and grow as disciples.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5
-
Jesus describes the Kingdom of God as a feast, where all are invited. The First Supper Club is a table open to everyone, no matter where they are in their faith journey.
“So go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone
you find.” Matthew 22:9
The Vision
Our vision extends far beyond the table. The First Supper Club also hosts larger events that invite
pastors, speakers, and teachers to preach the truth and inspire transformation. Locally, we aim
to partner with the Nashville community to serve others through acts of kindness such as
preparing meals for the homeless, outreach projects, and initiatives that reflect God’s love in
tangible ways.
Long-term, our goal is to multiply this model across the nation and, eventually, the world
empowering others to host their own supper clubs and events that share the gospel through
hospitality, service, and discipleship.
At its core, The First Supper Club exists to gather, disciple, and multiply awakening hearts to the
presence of Jesus and building communities that carry His love beyond the table.
